With simple blue pages that highlight stark white images, these Rorschach-like inkblots for children will delight little minds as they try to uncover each object in the "spilt milk" for themselves.
To extend our reading, baby bookworm and I decided to add our own page to this book.
We got out our blue paper and white paint, and set to work.
It looked like spilt milk,
But it wasn't spilt milk....
"It was a bird."

I did something similar with my daughter, we squeezed out some white paint onto the blue construction paper, put a paper over it, and smoothed it out. When we took the top piece off it really created some neat shapes- then my daughter used her imagination to figure out what it "could" look like!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing! That's really how this project should be done, but she really wanted to paint, so I went with it! We sometimes make butterflies with multiple colors the way you mention too.
